The Mississippi Valley Textile Museum’s annual Fibrefest event is one of the longest running and largest of its kind in Canada. It is a fundraising event for the museum, and aims to promote Canadian fibre artisans and artists.

Riverfront Artscape
With over 40 artists, live painting and demos and more! CKCU 93.1 fm will be broadcasting live from 10 am to 1 pm, followed by music by the Almonte Song Circle. Food Vendors include Pie Are Squared, Michelle's Ice cream Carnival, Almonte Ottawa Valley Coffee, and Foodie Lu's Italian Street Food. The event will be held along the beautiful Mississippi riverside in Sinclair Square adjacent to the Carleton Place Gallery on 210 Bridge Street.
Women's Art festival
For 43 years, the Women’s Art Festival has brought people together to celebrate the talent, vision, and creativity of women artists. Recognized as North America’s longest-running women’s art festival, it has become a cherished Kingston tradition and one of the city’s most anticipated summer events.
Each year, the festival fills City Park with live music, free children’s activities, hands-on art experiences, face painting, and a beautiful marketplace featuring talented artists and makers from across the region. It is a day where visitors can discover original work, meet the artists behind it, and enjoy the energy of a community gathering in the heart of the city.
The Women’s Art Festival has always been rooted in the belief that supporting women in the arts strengthens the whole community. Forty-three years later, that spirit continues to shine.
